As many of you know
Bishop Hoshibata traveled to Washington, DC, earlier this year to join other
United Methodists in advocating for health care reform in Congress. He returned
from the trip inspired and hopeful that other United Methodists would also take
action. You are encouraged to reach out to your Members of Congress and let
them know that health care reform is a faith issue for United Methodists and
that action is needed now.
A draft letter has
been prepared that you can edit to send to your Congressional Members. It is attached below as a Word Document. Feel
free to edit the letter as you wish and be sure to fill in the sections
surrounded by brackets so the letter is complete. You are strongly encouraged
to include your personal stories and/or experiences with the current health care
system.
